COMBINED SHIPPING: Please check my eBay store to see what else I have listed,as I usually have several similar items listed at the same time. I’ll do my best to combine shipping forbuyers of multiple items; often the combined shipping cost will be only alittle more than the cost for shipping the largest item in the set. If you buy multiple items from me you caneither pay the full shipping cost that eBay calculates and I can refund you thedifference from what it actually costs to ship, or you can wait to receive a invoice from me before paying. Please contact me in advance if you need aquote for combining, especially for shipping internationally or when combininglarger or heavier items, as the cost for combining might vary. For smaller, lightweight items, the cost toship additional items should be negligible. For large items I may still need to ship separately. PAYMENT: After winning an item, either through auction, buy-it-now,or best offer, I expect payment within 3 days or a message within those threedays indicating when you expect to pay by. If I don’t hear from you within three days I’ll need to mark the item asunpaid, and a few days later if you still haven’t paid the order will be cancelled, and the item relisted (or sold to the next highest bidder). Also, if you win an item and then see thatI've listed something else you'd like to bid on, feel free to place your bidand then just let me know that you're still bidding on more items. END DATES, SHIPPING TIMES: My auctions typically start and end on Sunday. I try to mail items out the day after they’re paid for, but this depends on when in the day they’repaid for and if I have time to wrap everything and get to the Post Office beforethey close. My nearby Post Office their hours, so I’m now only making two or three Post Office visitseach week. I don’t count weekends andFederal Holidays in this shipping timeline, and my imaginary business hours are9am-5pm (PST). So typically if you payfor an item on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be at my local Post Officeby Monday or Tuesday, and if you pay on Monday it will be there on Tuesday orWednesday. If I’m going to be out oftown for just a few days I might adjust this shipping time from more than threedays rather than set a Vacation Hold, but this is uncommon. Note that eBay is not my full-time job and Idon’t have anyone helping me pack items, so sometimes unexpected delays willhappen, but I do try my best to get items out on time (and failing to do soresults in penalties from eBay). Pleaselet me know if you need something urgently and I’ll try to make it a priority. SHIPPING ADDRESSES: Please verify that you have the correct shipping address setin your eBay account and your PayPal account. I’d strongly recommend sending me a message with your address just to besure. REFUNDS & RETURNS: Refunds are given for items that arrive with damage due toshipping. I do my best to I sell, but much of what I sell is very fragile and the exists that it might get damaged along the way. If this happens to you, please let me knowhow bad the damage is (pictures help), and I can either give you a partialrefund if you still want to keep the item, or I might request to have you shipit back using the same packaging, and I’ll refund your cost of shipping (bothways), plus the cost of the item. Typically this is all processed by requesting a refund through eBay, butI’d appreciate if you’d send me a message first. Refunds are also given for items you believe I’vemisrepresented based on condition or otherwise. I do my best to research, describe in detail, and present comprehensive photos of everything I sell, but sometimes I makemistakes, miss a defect, or am not particularly knowledgeable about the item inquestion. If you receive an item thatyou aren’t completely happy with, please contact me and we’ll work somethingout. The last thing I want is for mycustomers to feel that they’ve been taken advantage of. Order cancellations are possible if I haven’t yet shipped anitem out. Returns for other reasons are accepted, but I charge a 15% itemrestocking fee, the original shipping cost is not refunded and you’ll need topay for return shipping. Your returnwill be processed through eBay, and will be paid once I’ve received the itemback in the condition it was sent out in. These fees are meant to discourage excessive or frivolous returns, but ifyou have a legitimate reason for a return, please let me know and we’ll try towork something out. PACKAGING: Items are typically shipped in large cardboard boxes, wrappedin lots of bubble wrap, and padded with lots of recycled paper. I’ll double box items when possible, but notethat it often adds a significant amount of weight to the shipment, which willusually increase your shipping cost. Feel free to send me a message with any additional packaging requestsyou might have, but note that I can’t always honor them (especially if you’vealready paid for shipping and your request might significantly add to the packageweight). SHIPPING COSTS: Shipping is often expensive. The calculated shipping amount that eBay provides is often even moreexpensive than it should be. If theshipping cost seems excessively expensive, please let me know and I’ll see if Ican make you a more reasonable quote based on the USPS.com shippingcalculator Note that the cost ofshipping is determined by: * How far it’s going. I’m in Port Hueneme, CA 93041. Shipmentswithin California are cheap, but not so cheap to the East Coast or othercountries * How bulky the package is. Typically I ship using the following box sizes: 7”x7”x7”, 12”x12”x8” or12”x12”x16” The size of the box I usewill usually need to account for the size of the item, plus 2” to 4” in eachdirection for packaging. The size of thebox usually doesn’t affect the price much, unless if dimensions start goingover 12” (within California it doesn’t matter much – bulk away!) * How much the package weighs. USPS First Class within the US needs to be apackage weight of less than 1 pound (this used to be 13 oz). USPS First Class International is less than 4pounds, I think. Note that for smallitems most of this weight will be due to packaging material. To estimate the package weight, I typicallytake the weight of the item and then double or triple it. Note that I much prefer to ship using USPS Priority and Iwill often not use less reliable or slower methods of shipping as options ifthe price is comparable. I offer USPSFirst Class within the US only for shipments that weigh less than a pound. I offer USPS First Class International formost countries for shipments weighing less than 4 pounds, but because of lackof tracking and insurance options I may require USPS Priority for moreexpensive shipments (please contact me if you have any concerns on this). USPS Parcel Post and USPS Ground are usuallyonly used within the US for large, heavy items. Please make sure you select the correct shipping option you’d like whenpaying. Please feel free to send me anyquestions about shipping, but keep in mind that it can be expensive, especiallyfor large, fragile items that need to go across the country or the world. Also, please don’t ask me to misrepresent the item cost onyour customs shipping forms. I understandthat import taxes can be expensive, but I’m not going to mark any items asbeing less expensive than they actually are, especially since anyone with acomputer or cell phone could easily check that price against the old listing. PRICES, BEST OFFERS & VACATION HOLDS: I’ll be honest, I don’t do a lot of research on where to setmy prices. I typically list them firstat auction at about what I think they might be worth, and if they don’t sell Irelist them as Buy-It-Now with Best Offer. After that I’m willing to consider just about anything, but if you thinkI’m asking way too much on an item, please let me know why rather than justsending me a very low offer (which I might otherwise decline). How much I’m willing to adjust my askingprice (if at all) is dependent on a variety of factors such as: how much I likethe item, how much it cost me, how long I’ve had it listed, what it’s valuedat, what similar items have sold for, and what other buyers have offered forit. Items I’ve had listed for years I’lltypically be happy to accept a lot less on (50% to 75% off), while items that I’vehad listed for just a few days will typically be much closer to my askingprice. I review all offers and neverauto decline but I might decline without a counter-offer if an offer low with no explanation. My store is usually active even when I’m out of town, but Ican’t sell or ship anything until I get back. You can still watch items and ask me questions, but if I have an active VacationHold in place I’ll have to decline your offers until I get back. If you see I have a Vacation Hold in place, instead of sending me an offer (which I’ll have to decline) please first sendme a message with your price and I’ll respond back. If we can agree on a price I’ll let you knowwhen I’ll be active again and I’ll hold the item for you until I get back. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS: eBay has a limit of 12 photos per listing. Usually this isn’t enough to get all thedetails of an item. Please message me ifyou’d like additional photos of specific details or angles and I’ll try to accommodate. AUTHENTICITY: Any item details regarding item age, origin, and authenticityare my best guess based on my limited knowledge of antiques and are notguaranteed to be correct. Typically, themore details I give in the description, the more certain I am of the item. On the other hand, if I’m vague in thedescription, it’s probably because I’m not sure. Please use your best judgement and check thephotos. Feel free to send me a messagewith any concerns and I’ll be happy to chat. If you still aren’t sure on an item, please consider having an expertcheck it out (I recommend ValueMyStuff com) And if you receive your item and still have concerns, please let meknow. OTHER NOTES: Any items in the background, used for scale, or used to propup or display the item are not included in the sale unless otherwise specifiedor requested. Please contact me for any questions regarding the item orshipping, or requests for additional pictures. Also, feel free to contact me if you see something similar to what youwant, as I have a lot of inventory that I haven’t listed yet, and I might havewhat you’re looking for. International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Note that customs to the UK in particular tend to be rather high (often around 30% of the item+postage cost). All items ship from Port Hueneme (Zip Code 93041), CA, USA. .
This is for a rare, beautiful and very ingenious little antique Japanese Netsuke tinder box, it was made to hang from the belt and provide fire at will. The case is closed and opened by way of the smaller of the two little brass buttons on the front, when the case is opened it can be used, the arm would grip a piece of flint between the two jaws, it would have been held in place by tightening the little screw on the top.
There are old repairs by the wrists as shown with old residue. They have slight separation from the hands from natural age. Overall its in Great Condition and all shown in the photos. WE ARE LOCATED IN NEW YORK.

The presence of this Amber Child Monk Buddha Statue will peacefully add balance and harmony to your spiritual balance. The antique Amber statue is hand polished with jewelry techniques, which gives it a truly venerable appearance. It is made from Baltic amber, which is ideal for your spiritual balance. Baltic Amber is a natural material and its versatility allows for the creation of impressive and inspiring statues and jewelry, such as this special spiritual statue. Okimono: An okimono may be a small Japanese carving, similar to, but larger than netsuke. Unlike netsuke, which have a specific purpose, okimono are purely decorative and are displayed in the Tokonoma. An okimono can be made out of wood, ceramic or metal. Okimono are normally not larger than a few centimeters. They depict all sorts of animals, mythological beasts, humans, gods, fruit, vegetables and objects, sometimes combined with each other, in all sorts of positions. Sometimes a scene is portrayed as well, either a daily scene or from a story. History: Perhaps the most fascinating facet of Japanese fashion history is the ways in which even the most practical aspects of clothing were given an artistic twist. A striking example of this attention to detail can be seen in the small but beautiful netsuke. This is an everyday object which was born of practical necessity, but soon became a highly respected art form in Edo Japan. Today, Japanese netsuke are still studied and admired by artists, historians, and lovers of fashion the world over. Okimono Figures Netsuke ?? Netsuke - are miniature sculptures that were invented in 17th-century Japan to serve a practical function (the two Japanese characters netsuke mean "root" and "to attach"). Traditional Japanese called Kos ode and kimono—had no pockets; however, men who wore them needed a place to store their personal belongings, such as pipes, tobacco, money, seals, or medicines. Their solution was to place such objects in containers (called Sagemont) hung by cords from the robes' sashes (obi). The containers may have been pouches or small woven baskets, but the most popular were beautifully crafted boxes (inr?), which were held shut by ojime, which were sliding beads on cords. Whatever the form of the container, the fastener that secured the cord at the top of the sash was a carved, button-like toggle called a netsuke. Netsuke, like the inr? and ojime, evolved over time from being strictly utilitarian into objects of great artistic merit and an expression of extraordinary craftsmanship. Such objects have a long history reflecting the important aspects of Japanese folklore and life. Netsuke production was most popular during the Edo period in Japan, around 1615–1868. Today, the art lives on, and some modern works can command high prices in the UK, Europe, the USA, Japan and elsewhere. . SAVE MONEY: With combined shipping on multiple item purchases. It's so thick. And it's so gorgeous. This is the serious, really old, very rare and high-class INRO that the specialist made. Because his work was wonderful, later lacquer worker imitated it. The great thick MAKIE is the characteristic of that.
